Yeah I wanna see this 2. At first people were telling me that it looks lame so I decided to check out the trailer and I was like " Wtf are you guys talking about? this movies gonna kick ass." lol

They dropped the Halo movie for this, that might be a good sign. I want a Wii game of this movie!

My brother showed me the trailer awhile ago, looks like it's going to be good. I like how it's a different take on alien movies. Rather than the traditional... aliens come, they must be invading us.

honestly i didn't like anything shown in the preview... it didnt look like my kind of movie. and the aliens look so fake, sort of like puppets.

Watched it and loved it. I'm not a big sci-fi buff, but this movie is the best movie of the summer imo. I highly recommend it. It has enough action (not over-the-top like T2: RotF) and a great build up to the main story. I will not spoil anything but please do yourself a favor and watch this. Also a $30 mil budget is crazy for a movie like this. :0

Wow, I just finished watching the movie, I had rented it, and...wow...it was great.

The CGI was great, it blended nicely with the live-action. The plot was fantastic, however the ending was...surprising. It wasn't a happy one for the human, rather, it was good for the alien. The humans end was, SPOILER! rather sad and open-ended.

I would reccomend this to pretty much anybody, except for children. There was a HUGE amount of big-time cursing, and there was a rather large amount of blood for this sort of film. Not like a slasher or grindhouse-horror film, but at times people were exploding into miscelaneious gibs and blood and chunks. If that sort of thing would offend you, you might want to pass this up...they drop the f-bomb, SERIOUSLY, around 200 times.

But it was GREAT. SO GREAT. It would be such a dissapointment to pass...I do NOT want a sequel to come about. That would ruin the endings charm! Rather, a spiritual successor would work much nicer.
Sorta like the Marathon/Halo, spiritual predecessor/successor/sequel/prequel thing. Something similiar, but of a different story. Perhaps another person or Prawn's take on the happening would work.

I give it a 4.75/5.
It was grand. Go see it.
